Yoga is an ancient personal discipline with physio-psychic and spiritual practice for the all round development of the human beings. With these objectives in mind, Health Matters promote total yoga – the 8 limb Raj Yoga, traditionally referred to as the “ Astaunga Yoga”. This 8 limb yoga includes, Asanas (yoga exercises), moral principles of Yama and Niyama, Pranyama (control of vital airs), Prathyhara (Sense control), Dharana ( Concentration), Dhyana (Meditation) and finally Samadhi ( Self-realization) The practices of Yoga were discovered and developed from thousands of years of self study, by some of more enlightened ancestors who were great spiritual masters, seers, visionaries and mystics. Over the years, the yoga disciplines have been instrumental in the mental and spiritual transformation of many great individuals like Buddha, Patanjali, Yogananda, Vivekananda and many more who have demonstrated illustrious humanism thorough their dedication to the spiritual advancement of humanity. These individuals in turn have made tremendous contribution the psycho-spiritual advancement of their fellow humans.
